Art Works Insurance

Art Works Insurance FAQs

How do I get a quote?

To get a quotation from us for your collection, you will need to provide us with the full details of your collection (types of pieces, names or descriptions, artists names, the individual values on each piece, where will it be housed and the security details of the location). Upon receipt of all of this information we will submit the details to insurers and have a quotation prepared for you in a very short time.

Will this policy also cover my Public & Employers Liability?

Unfortunately not, our collections policy is designed to only cover the actual artwork collection. They will not cover any liability risk that might be present because of the presence of the art work for instance if the artwork is temporarily exhibited at a festival or event or exhibition. For Exhibitions and Dealers we can add Public and Employers Liability. Please talk to one of our brokers.

Can I cover my works while they are in transit?

Cover can be arranged to cover art collections whist in transit, otherwise known as “Nail to Nail Cover” and it can be on an international basis if that is required. Note: Collections will need to be packed professionally to satisfy insurers’ requirements.

What can be covered?

We can arrange cover for all kinds of precious objects such as Antiques, Contemporary Art, Old Masters, Classic Cars, Porcelain, Silver or Fine Wine Collections.

What will not be covered?

Cases of Scratching, Denting and Packaging not carried out by professionals will be excluded under any policy.
