Supplier Preference Policy
One of our core values is to exhibit Social Responsibility and to protect our community, and that is particularly important in choosing who we do business with (Our Sustainability Story). Therefore as a business, we aim to create mutually beneficial business relationships with diverse suppliers that strengthen the community we work in, and, who help reduce risk for those communities, and the businesses and individuals that are part of them.
As an insurance broker, promoting sustainable supply chains involves partnering with insurers committed to ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. This can include advocating for insurance products that support low carbon initiatives, such as coverage for eco-friendly businesses or incentives for sustainable practices. Additionally, educating consumers about the environmental impact of their insurance choices and offering low carbon insurance products can encourage them to make more sustainable decisions. By actively engaging in sustainable supply chain practices and offering environmentally conscious insurance options, we believe that we can play a vital role in driving positive change towards a greener future. In Brady Insurance we have a legal obligation as a broker to offer wide ranging advice to consumers across all the products we sell, and as such the consumer's best interests are always at the heart of those recommendations. We are trying to assist our clients in understanding the environmental impact of their coverage choices. There is a long way to go with this, but certain insurers are now publicising the steps they are taking to reduce Carbon and improve sustainability, and we welcome it and will support those insurers where possible.
Separate to the products we offer, are the products we buy and the causes we support. Brady Insurance is committed to being a responsible and valuable partner in the supply chain, continuing to build a sustainable business that serves its customers, employees, shareholders, and the communities in which they live. We ensure that our suppliers espouse similar values to our own, and comply with all applicable labor, employment, environmental, human rights, financial crime and health and safety laws. We intend to create long-lasting relationships with our suppliers and maintain our existing valued relationships. We intend to always be fair and honest in our dealings with suppliers, engaging and understanding in negotiating prices with them. We will take into consideration when evaluating suppliers how they treat their own staff and how we can help their business. We formally prefer to always purchase local where possible (See our Sustainability Policy Here). This will promote economic development of our community, encourage sustainable practices in our community, and assist in the creation of a circular support system in our community.
