When we are notified of a claim, we take the details and immediately inform

Motor ClaimsMotor Claim

  • Your insurer will be notified.
  • You will be asked to complete a claim form & return
  • Your insurer will determine liability or if a third party at fault, their insurer contacted.
  • Motor Loss assessors are appointed for some claims
  • Depending on the incident, you may be entitled to temporary replacement vehicle and you will be given a list of repairers that you can use, and avail of direct settlement.
  • You may be entitled to use repairer of your choice & you can be reimbursed for agreed expenses at later date.
  • We will endeavor to keep you informed of the progress of your claim at all times.
  • Note: Every motor claim is different, depending on insurer, who is at fault etc.
  • All policy holders are entitled to our Legal Expenses & personal Accident package, which also gives replacement cars in event of accident, in certain circumstances.

If a loss adjuster is appointed by your insurer, you will be given his or her name and phone number within a few days of your notification. A loss adjuster is appointed by your insurer to assist resolve your claim fairly. You are also entitled to have your own loss assessor, at your own expense. The adjuster assigned to your claim will contact you to gather more details about what happened and you may complete a claim form.

Your adjuster will review all the information related to your loss, which may include: the results of any inspection, information you have provided, correspondence from any third parties, the terms of your policy, and any other necessary documentation. Your adjuster will then discuss the resolution of your claim with you. If the damage is covered by your policy, you will receive a claims payment, minus any applicable excess.
